Bailey King is the daughter of Maureen and John King. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor on December 19, 2003. She underwent surgery, radiation and chemotherapy the following year and had been in remission since January 2005.
Bailey started back in school later that year, at Covington High School, in Covington, Louisiana. She completed high school in 2009, and graduated with a GPA of 4.2, an honor student and secretary of her National Honor Society. She is now in her second year at Tulane University heading towards nursing school, with the wish of becoming a nurse and giving back. She had always wanted to help people and feels as if she had first hand experience on what is means to be a good nurse.
